• Voyager Academy High School Daily Announcements January 31:

• GSA is having a bake sale from February 1-7th to benefit homeless youth. We will be set up outside of Ms. Huntington's room. 
• Are you ready to explore the third largest country in South America? If so, there is a Peru interest meeting on Thursday, February 7 in Mr. Manuel's room. You do not have to be currently enrolled in Spanish to be interested to go on the trip. 
• Homecoming tickets are being sold in front of the Commons during lunch this week. Come attend a masquerade dance with all your friends for just $5.00.

• Today is the last day to vote for Senior Superlatives. See Ms. Todd in A149 if you have any questions.

• The swim team will be competing in their Regional competition this Friday. Congrats to everyone who qualified!
• There is a home basketball game against Vance Charter today. JV is at 4:45, Women's Varsity is at 6:15, and Men's Varsity is at 7:45. 
• There is a tennis interest meeting this Wednesday in the gym. 
• Homecoming tickets are being sold in front of the Commons during lunch this week. Come attend a masquerade dance with all your friends for just $5.00. We are also voting for homecoming royalty this week. 
• Our prom theme is "Around the World"! The event will take place on April 6 at the Hilton. Ticket sales start February 1st. Reserve yours today! Be ready to be transported to many iconic places with the music of DJ Manuel. 
• Voyager will be hosting a driver's ed class during spring break, from April 15-19 at 8:30-2:30 each day. The cost is $375. Please check with the front office for more info.

• Lost and found has filled up. Items will be donated on Friday.

• Voyager Men's Lacrosse is looking for a few good men! If you have never played lacrosse, think football without so many pads. We have a great group this year. It doesn't matter whether you are skilled or unskilled, we will teach you. If you are interested please stop by Room D125 and speak with Mr. Mills.
• Voyager will be hosting a driver's ed class during spring break, from April 15-19 at 8:30-2:30 each day. The cost is $375. Please check with the front office for more info. 
• The wrestling team had a successful meet last night, and will be back in action this Friday at Riverside.

• Abby Demarest from Duke Summer Session for High School Students will be on campus during lunch on Wednesday Jan. 16 to meet with students and parents who are interested in learning about pre-college programs and summer opportunities. Programs include: Summer College (four-week academic credit program for students currently in grades 10 – 12) Summer Academy (three-week academic enrichment program for students currently in grades 9 – 12) Accelerated STEM Academy (one-week academic enrichment program for students currently in grades 9 – 12)See Ms. O'Kane or check the Counseling Dept, Blog for more information.
• The Fellowship of Christian Athletes will be meeting tomorrow morning at 7:30 in D124. Please join us for food, fun, and fellowship! You do not have to be a Christian or an athlete to attend. 
• The swim team had a successful meet yesterday, wrapping up their regular season. Both the girls' and boys' teams won their relays. Special shoutout to Zoe Vette for winning the 500 freestyle!
